My Why

I have been asked many times how I found my passion or why I do what I do – so I thought I would share it with you.

My passion is helping families come together and achieve great things together.

The cautionary tales you hear about the devastating impact of success, wealth, affluenza, and distance on families and individuals are real and can happen in all families.

My own experience with the devastating impact has been up close and personal.  I grew up in a family business and was lucky enough to enjoy the many benefits it provides – close relationships with my cousins and extended family, fun frequent family gatherings, being connected to the community, a loving support system, and a good life.

However, nothing lasts forever necessarily, the ever-changing cycles of seasonal businesses, several business tragedies (fire, stealing, etc…), and deaths in the family placed enormous strains on relationships inside my family. We dealt with those struggles as best we could, but we did so without the kind of advice, counsel, and caution of today’s professional collaborative team of advisors including a Heritage Design Professional, business succession attorney, family dynamics coach, and other advisors in this field.

By the time I discovered the emerging field of heritage design as a financial planner, my family had seen prosperity won and lost, family relationships torn, and the lives of individual family members deeply impacted.

But I knew this was a field that could make a difference in the lives of so many families and wanted to be a part of it.

Heritage Design provides a structure for families to create a process to make decisions together. work through upsets, get stronger, and focused on family harmony that can continue for generation after generation.

There is no better way to identify, strengthen and preserve the things that matter most to you and your family than to integrate the proven process and principles of heritage design into your planning.  And it all begins with effective communication.

Please feel free to reach out – I would love to hear from you.

Until our next conversation….
